Connecting Kit (formerly ConvertKit) links your email list to big You connect it with a Kit v4 API key.

Use a v4 key

Kit has two generations of API key. big uses the v4 API, so it needs a v4 key; an older v3 key or API secret won't pass big's test.

Keep the key as narrow as Kit lets you. If Kit offers a read-only option or a choice of permissions when you create the key, choose read-only. big only reads.

Create the key

1. Sign in to Kit.
2. In Kit, open Settings → Developer and add a new v4 API key. Kit's own help at kit.com has the current steps if the menu has moved.
3. Name it, for example "big", and copy it. Keep it somewhere safe only until you've pasted it into big

Connect it in big

Open Connect → Integrations → Browse catalog, choose Kit, paste the key and save. big tests it with one read-only call for your Kit account details, and shows that account once it is connected. The full walkthrough, including rotating and disconnecting, is Connect an integration.

When you rotate or disconnect

big can't revoke a Kit key. After rotating or disconnecting in big, delete the old key in Kit's Developer settings.
