Product updates
Alongside the account notices covered in Notifications, big sends one other kind of email: an occasional product-update digest. It is the only marketing email big sends, and the only one with an unsubscribe link.
What it is
- A short digest of what shipped — a handful of entries in plain language, each saying what changed and why you'd care, sometimes with a link to read more. Text only, no images.
- Written by hand — every entry is written for the send. Nothing is generated from release notes, and nothing about your workspace, your contacts or your usage goes into it.
- On no fixed schedule — it goes out when there is enough worth telling you about. Nothing mails the list automatically; a person at big writes the issue, reviews it and sends it.
Why you're getting it
You joined the waitlist, and the form says so where you hand over your address: we'll send the invite when your seat opens, and the occasional product update in between. That's the only way an address reaches this list — creating a workspace, being invited to someone else's, or starting a subscription doesn't add you, and neither does contacting support.
Every digest repeats it in the footer, next to big's postal address, so you can always tell why an issue arrived.
How to unsubscribe
Use the link in the email. Every product-update email carries an Unsubscribe link in its footer. Open it to come off the list — you don't need an account, and you won't have to confirm by email.
The link is handled by Resend, the email provider big sends through, which is where the list itself lives. That means two things worth knowing:
- There is no email-preferences screen in the dashboard. The link in the email is the whole mechanism — don't go looking under Settings for a toggle, because there isn't one.
- If you no longer have a digest to hand, write to [email protected] and ask to be taken off the list.
What unsubscribing does not stop
Account email is unaffected. The two paths are separate by construction: account messages can't carry an unsubscribe link, and being unsubscribed from the digest is invisible to them.
- Notification email — the usage-cap, failed-renewal and suspension notices that mirror the bell keep arriving. See Notifications.
- Billing email — anything about a payment, an invoice or your subscription. See Billing.
- Your waitlist invite — unsubscribing doesn't give up your place in line. When your seat opens, the invite is sent.
If you want the account messages to stop as well, that's account deletion rather than an unsubscribe — see Your data.
